An historic walk in the streets is the ideal way to orient your tour group to Akaroa. For parties who have arrived by road or by ship, this is a chance for a gentle leg stretch after the journey. Should the weather be poor on the day of your visit, an indoor "virtual walk" will take place instead, so your group is guaranteed an enjoyable experience regardless of weather. The background of each tour party is ascertained prior to their visit and used to adapt the commentary to match the group's interests. The Historic walk can be a standalone activity for your group, or adapted to include a morning or afternoon tea stop at a local cafe or historic home as required.
Walks start and finish points can be customised to slot in with your other activities, and groups coming on busses can be met at the Akaroa Hilltop or at the Village Entrance and include introductory commentary prior to the walk start.

Akaroa Guided Walks can also help you put together a suite of Akaroa based activities suited to your group's interests and group size. Should you wish assistance or advice on complementary activities to the Guided walk, we are happy to provide this.
